①Meet the needs of continuous progress in the curriculum. The project plans to be expanded into a virtual simulation experiment course in order to establish an experimental teaching system for low-impact development green space (corridors and rainwater gardens) that meets the theoretical and practical needs of landscape architecture. And help students understand the majors involved in the garden construction process through the entire experimental process Knowledge and related theoretical knowledge such as later landscape performance evaluation.

②Meet the need for continuous improvement of the profession. This course is aimed at students majoring in landscape architecture. Through practical courses, they will connect and apply the professional theoretical knowledge they have learned and promote students to systematically master the theoretical basic knowledge related to the major to establish a complete professional knowledge and thinking system of landscape architecture, cultivate corresponding practice and application ability to meet the work needs of combining theory with practice in garden engineering, ecological construction and experimental research.

③Meet the needs of continuous development of equipment. Based on the existing garden equipment models, this course will add different materials needed in the construction of different garden corridors, enrich the sizes and types of constructable corridors and rainwater gardens, increase types of construction materials and plants suitable for rainwater gardens and types of garden to enrich the content of virtual simulation experiments, increase the practicality of experiments and further optimize experiments.

④Meet the demand for continuous upgrade of the platform. In the next 3-5 years, the project will continue to build, upgrade and update the open virtual simulation management platform, continuously integrate school and social case resources, increase funding investment and improve project service. On the basis of simulation landscape construction, the project will continue to supply and update the latest virtual simulation experiment teaching data and cases, increase the site selection and real-time data that can be constructed. It will also improve the website and software, maintain and upgrade the webpage, communicate with the participants in the real-time improvement.

2.Teaching promotion and application plan for colleg

The project aims to give full play to the teaching advantages of Beijing Forestry University in landscape architecture, continue to promote it to nearly 200 colleges and universities that offer landscape architecture across the country.

① Continuously upgrade the system and improve the content online. The project will upgrade the hardware configuration of the platform and improve the Internet access lines to ensure smoother use by users outside the school. The related knowledge and cases of rainwater garden and corridor construction will be continuously launched on the platform, and the types of corridor construction, plant types, site selection and more terms will be added to make the content of the experiment more suitable to the subject characteristics and teaching requirements of various universities.

② Sharing garden construction experience and resources offline. Relying on the virtual simulation platform, offline low-impact development green space construction exchange forums and garden construction skills competitions can be held offline. And teachers as well as students from brother colleges will be invited to visit to cultivate and train more comprehensive and outstanding landscape architecture talents in experimental practice.

3.Social promotion and application plan

① It is planned to gradually open in time. According to the construction requirements, the virtual simulation experiment project will continue to be open to universities and the society and provide online teaching services for free within one year after being identified; within one year to three years, the free service content will not be less than 50%; after three years, the free service content will not be less than 70%.

②A wide range of service groups will gain benefit. The free open content of the project can provide services to all kinds of people in the whole society. It can be used as a landscape construction science experiment project for college and technical secondary school students to learn. At the same time, it can provide relevant scientific research and production units with low-impact development related verification experiment services and can also provide assistance to areas with backward landscape construction and development, combine local landscape characteristics for technology personnel knowledge development and auxiliary training.
